Sumar will make her pro debut Sunday at 5 p.m.

Sumar Rain is making her debut in less than 48 hours.

The Houma-based point guard signed with the San German Athleticas this week. After a short waiting period to get her contract approved, she will begin her career Sunday afternoon when the team takes on Leonas De Ponce at 5 p.m. in a home game.

Leslie will join San German mid-way through its season.

The Athleticas are 6-5 on the season and have 9 regular season games remaining before the playoffs.

The team currently sits in fourth place, two and a half games out of first place.

“I’ve dreamed of this scenario for my whole life,” Leslie said. “The time is here and the time is now. I cannot wait to join the Athleticas during this playoff push to help our team make a run at a championship.”
