Sumar and the Atleticas look to get a win tomorrow.

After falling flat against Carolina, Sumar and the Atleticas are hungry to rebound.

They will get their opportunity against another of the top teams in the Puerto Rican league.

San German will return to action tonight against the Quebradillas Pirates — a team with an 11-4 record on the season.

Tip-off for that game will be at 7 p.m. and San German is the home team in the game.

The game will mark the first of four in seven games for San German, who is currently jocking for playoff seeding.

“This is a big week for us, without question,” Sumar said. “We’re rested and we’re ready to play. We believe that will start with a solid performance against Quebradillas, who is a fantastic team.”

A poor 2nd quarter doomed the Atleticas in their last game – a 94-80 loss to Carolina.

After playing close in the first quarter, Carolina roared to a 26-11 advantage in the second quarter to take a 20-point lead into halftime.

in the second half, the Atleticas fired back from a 28-point margin to cut the lead to 11 late. But they never got closer than that in defeat.

Sumar finished with 10 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists in the loss.

San German forward Tyra White led the team with 19 points and 7 rebounds.

“We need to be better than we were in that game,” Sumar said. “We really learned a lesson that you have to play a full game in order to be successful. I think you can expect us to be better and have a better result this time around.”

The Atleticas better peform admirably if they hope to win – Quebradillas enters the game red-hot.

The 11-4 team scored a 75-66 win against Morovis their last time out.

The Pirates are anchored by a slew of prominent American talent.

Former Notre Dame stars Becca Bruszewski and Melissa Lechlitner anchor the Pirates’ offense.

The inside-out duo combine to average 30 points and 10 rebounds per game.

The game will tip-off at 7 p.m.
